STARTER PUPS
An innovated new program allows selected high schoolers to raise Guide Dog puppies in a special class at school.
They need puppies that are old enough to start coming to school right away.
That's where our raisers come in. We take baby puppies designated as "School Starter Pups" and raise them until they are about seven months old.
They are then evaluated, and the puppies that are suitable are transferred to the school program to be finished out by participating youth.
