Chip: The Story of a Guide Dog Puppy by Ms. Barlow's 4th-6th Grade Special Education Students at Jefferson Elementary in Clovis CA Each year the learning handicapped students at Jefferson Elementary School in Clovis, California, welcome a puppy into their classroom to help their teacher socialize it for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. The students wrote and illustrated this national award-winning book which chronicles the life of a guide dog from birth at the kennels to what happens if it does not make it as a working guide dog.
