Career Change dogs and older, calm puppies are invited to visit interested residents of the Village Life Care Center for scheduled social outings. Make sure your dog is well groomed (brushed, with nails trimmed & filed smooth) and in coat, career change or other scarf. Meet in the front entry. Directions: From the Holly/Arapahoe Rd. intersection, go west on Arapahoe past past King Soopers at Forest to the Johnson Center sign. Turn south and follow the road to the high rise at 4751 East Costilla Avenue.

A Typical Visit to The Village Life Care Center

Seven puppies and eight raisers visited the Village Life Care Center on November 15, 2005, for a social outing. Only older puppies were invited, because calm manners are important around older folks who may be fragile or unsteady. The pups were specially coifed for the event--fur brushed and toenails trimmed and filed smooth to avoid unwanted scratches. What an evening we had! There were approximately 50 residents who sat in a circle around us and carefully listened and asked many very good questions. Of course, there was lots of time to touch and pet! Linda, the activities director, was thrilled, and invited us to come back again soon!
