Leah Jonas chose Guide Dogs for the Blind as part of the requirements for her Bat Mitzvah. After helping handle puppies at club meetings and puppy sitting for several months, Leah recieved her own puppy to raise, Cougar, in March 2004. Cougar and Leah's affiliation with Guide Dog puppy raising featured prominently at her Bat Mitzvah. Cougar and two other Have Paws puppies, Wilsa and Emmett, greeted Leah's guests as they arrived at her reception. A table inside the banquet room gave more information about the project. We were honored that Leah choose HPWT as her charity. Here are a few photos from the event.

Everyone wants to meet Cougar! After all, he is Leah's dog!

Inside the banquet hall, an information table educates the guests about Gude Dog Puppy Raising.

Together, the dogs enchanted

Looks like Emmett wants

Leah made a beeline for Cougar
the minute she got out of the limousine.

Sharing a special day with a Guide Puppy makes
the occasion doubly memorable.

One last snuggle before Leah goes off to the reception.
