Annual HPWT Halloween Chili Dinner and Costume Contest Leave your "Lab Tops" at home but bring your Labradors to the EVIL DOGTOR'S LABORATORY for an explosive time! Shepherds and Goldens will gather with the Labs for metamorphosis into the identity of their dreams. Costume awards will be given in these categories: Best Namesake; Famous Person; Movie Character; Best Team; Best "Halloween"; Most Original When: Tuesday October 25 6:00 p.m. Dinner 7:00 p.m. Costume Preparation 7:15 contest Where: Arapahoe County multi-purpose room All GDB Puppies in Training, Career Change Dogs, and Working Guides (and their people) are invited! RSVP to your club leaders by October 15! |

cauldrons of love potion:To Lisa Taylor and Arapahoe County 4H for seamless arrangement of room set up...microphone, tables, and stage. To Shaylen King (4H) who came early in the evening to welcome the contestants and make sure we had everything we needed. To Janet Ford for trying to help decorate, but got locked out of the building, by accident! To Le Kathryn Champine for our many many many fun, beautiful prizes and donations. Lizz Landert for the classic puppy posters and books, etc. offered in the prize corner and taking tons of stage photos. To Russell and Jane Smoak for our professional portrait opportunity. They also brought the cheese and that festive fall set which enhanced the party atmosphere immensely! To Caroline Wriston and Liberty on Leashes for a smooth and easy registration table and plenty of drinks. To Jack and Bonnie McPartland for running the costume contest with unmatched style and flair, and recruiting our judges. To our on-the-spot judges...Megan and Julie from Animal ER...who have the toughest job of all!!! They also brought the Kong goodies for our prize table. To Wendy Kalkus for designing our invitation flyer and creating our Evil Dogtors Laboratory theme. To Carmen Moyer and all HPWT chefs who sacrificed any "new car smell" remaining to the chili vapors forever. To Dot Dill for making extra chili and Dogs with Vision for lots of drinks. To Paws for Sight and the Eckhart family for the tasty cornbread and everlasting Christmas tree. To Sidekicks for Sight for fresh salads and tasty desserts. To Beth Nelson for her big yummy salad and her smiley memorable clown face. To Barb Witcher for her cigar and helping with cleanup.
