On October 19th, 2004

WE WILL HOWL!!!

At 6:00 pm all packs (and clubs)
are invited to gather in werewolf style for the

11th Annual HPWT chili dinner and doggie costume contest

at the Arapahoe County Multi-purpose Building.
Costume categories will be similar to last year:
1. Most  original
2. Famous person
3. Movie character
 4. Best namesake
 5. Best "Halloween"
 6. Best team ( puppy/puppy or puppy/person)
(Keep in mind your puppy still has to be under control & exhibit proper Guide Puppy manners, so design your puppy's costume accordingly.)

Bring your fangs and family  and however you decide to dress, PLEASE  COME... with a career change dog or without a  puppy at all.
Everyone register  for ONE category in the back of the room, near the windows, as soon as you arrive.
RSVP to your pack leaders now, and I will contact them  by Oct. 12 for a final snout count and last minute details.
Meanwhile, I will be calling for help with drinks and decorating committee members  (set up morning of Oct. 19, for a half hour)
...salads, desserts, and chili are already covered.
Again to you... owoooo... scary how the moon is looking brighter, don't you think??

...to all the Halloween howlers who made our annual chili dinner and costume contest a very fun and festive gathering!!!. We had at least 99 people and 43 dogs in attendance. Owooo!

HPWT's Wendy Kalkus  designed the werewolf invitation. Randi Peet put together the haunted house stage set.  Danny Henderson brought straw for the photo corner and put up the rest of the decorations.  Thanks ladies for your extra trip and all your design work!

The McPartlands  of  Dogs with Vision organized and announced the costume contest in true wolfy style.

The Wristons and Liberty on Leashes ran a very smooth and thorough registration table.  The nametags were very festive. Thank you!!!

ALL CLUBS  brought wonderful food items.  We were so glad to have such a delicious selection this year.  Each club also donated a nice variety of prizes.  Thank you for collecting those throughout the year in anticipation of this doggie costume extravaganza!!

Many Many thanks to Carmen Moyer ( my trusty room and trustee organizer), Dot Dill, Danny Henderson and the Smoak Family for staying after
to clean up!!

Lisa Taylor from 4H ,our new guide dog representative, was the guest of honor.  Thank you for coming to be with us!
