The ninth annual Have Paws Will Travel Halloween Party was a great success. One hundred people enjoyed a chili dinner before the costume contest began. Competing were twenty pups in training, nine career change dogs, four working guides, and four retired guides. Costume categories included cutest, best namesake, funniest, and most original; prizes also awarded for best team, best in pup training, and best cc/retired/working dog.

MOST ORIGINAL COSTUME DIVISION

Contestants for the most original costume gather on the stage.

Joel proudly portrays a firefighter.	Mama Bear, Papa Bear, and Baby Bear. Looks like they let Goldilocks join in on the fun, too!
Arlin came as the "extreme guide dog, Dognali". The costume won the most original division.	Dale Evens seems ready to sing! Or is it Patsy Cline?

NAMESAKE DIVISION

Just a few of the dogs whose names
have inspired their costumes.

Texan disguised himself as the Lone Ranger.

Astiare dressed as his silver screen namesake,
and brought Ginger Rogers along, too!
These two won 1st prize for "best team".

Cruiser came as a police K-9 cruiser.

Black lab Teresa came as "Mother Teresa".
